I am a Software Engineer

My name is Safwan Mahmood Al-Selwi. I am a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Business & Technology at the University of Cyberjaya (Malaysia). I previously served as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Computing, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). I hold a PhD in Information Technology from UTP (Malaysia), an MSc in Computer Applications from Bangalore University (India), and a BEng in Software Engineering from Taiz University (Yemen). I have over ten years of experience in academic institutions and industry. My research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, computer vision, metaheuristic algorithms, and optimization, and my industry experience includes Android and web application development.

Nowadays, with 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, I have developed so many applications for desktop, web and mobile. In addition, I have a YouTube channel to teach programming tutorials and convey my humble knowledge to those who search for it.
